New Leadership for Global Education Excellence
Mrs. Derya A. Briand joins our institution as Director of Academic Studies with a vision to elevate education through cross-border collaboration and global relevance. She has held roles that demand both legal insight and strategic thinking, positioning her to lead modern educational programs with a future-oriented mindset.
Her academic path includes a Bachelor in Law from Cyprus, and two postgraduate degrees from the University of Lausanne: an LLM in International and European Economic and Commercial Law (2009) and a MLaw in International and Comparative Law (2011). Her academic journey is a testament to her expertise and commitment.
Mrs. Derya A. Briand has served with distinction at some of the world’s most respected international organizations, including the United Nations and the International Labour Organization. Her work in these global institutions has given her deep insight into the legal, economic, and diplomatic frameworks that shape international cooperation. Through her contributions, she has engaged in policy development, legal analysis, and advocacy for multilateral initiatives—experiences that have greatly enriched her perspective as an academic leader.
